Sometimes things work so well and look so good you may not even think about it, and sometimes things stand out because they don't work well or look awkward or bad. This unit covers not only what elements and principles of design have been used, but also how it functions and how we might improve upon a design.

Drafting, dimensioning, and tolerancing standards are a design language that allow designers to clearly and accurately communicate their ideas about form and function to people all over the world, regardless of what language they speak

We are starting the unit on Introduction to Design and will cover 4 sections culminating in a Puzzle Cube Project.  We will cover:

• a design process
• technical sketching and drawing
• measurement and statistics
• designing, drawing, and making a puzzle cube
